Iceland Airwaves Wraps Up

The annual music festival Iceland Airwaves ends in Reykjavík today with headliners Sigur Rós playing a gig at Laugardalshöllin at 7 pm.

The first acts of the day performing as part of the off-venue, admission free program start at midday with Sonia from Finland playing a set at Glætan and Taylor Selsback from the U.S. at 12:30 at Icelandair Hotel Reykjavík Natura.

As with the previous four days of the festival, performances are scheduled to run late into the night.

Over 220 Icelandic and international artists performed at Iceland Airwaves 2012. Around 7,000 guests, journalists and musicians are reported to have attended.
