All international flights suspended

Icelandair and Iceland Express decided to cancel all international flights this morning due to forecast of violent storms.

Iceland Express plans to resume flights to and from Iceland before noon and Icelandair around noon, Fréttabladid reports. Domestic flights have not been cancelled.

The Icelandic Meteorological Office issued a warning this morning, forecasting violent storms throughout the country, heavy rain and snow showers.

The wind speed is expected to reach 28 m/s and the worst storm will, predictably, hit southwest Iceland, the capital area. The winds will slowly decrease and clear tomorrow.

REVIEWS
When I first heard of the photographic book Legend by Fiann Paul, portraying people dressed in Viking-style in Icelandic landscapes, I imagined it would depict scenes from Norse mythology. However, the idea with the book is to tell a story of how “The Seeker” finds “The Legend” and it feels like a wishy-washy self-help book.  more
